LIVE STREAM CONCERT

THE CONCERT

During the ‘lockdown’ in November 2020, we brought back Fiver in concert form to the Southwark Playhouse with the same 2019 cast. The show was streamed live featuring all the songs, an abridged script plus a brand new song! The writers, cast and production team all agreed what a joy it was to be able to be a part of genuine live theatre in what was such a difficult time.

If you missed the show, (or didn’t miss the show but want to watch it again), the show is available for a limited time to stream ‘On Demand’ for just £10 from the Southwark Playhouse website!

A live album of the show from these performances will be available to stream on 5th March 2021. To find out more about the album, including how you can get early access to the tracks or order an exclusive signed CD, click here.

★★★★★ ‘The whole cast shines in a surprisingly triumphant, glorious and hopeful story.’ LondonTheatre1

★★★★ ‘Southwark Playhouse scores another bullseye with Alex James Ellison and Tom Lees' fanciful, deceptively sophisticated meditation on what happens to the humble five pound note as it is exchanged from hand to hand.’ WhatsOnStage

★★★★ ‘Southwark Playhouse has made a name for itself in featuring new musicals and inventive revivals. ★★★★ ‘An absolutely astonishing score. The experience of watching this musical is one of pure uplifting wonderment.’ TheatreWeekly

★★★★ ‘ Ellison and Lees have crafted a delightful and at times touching tale that manages to conjure up a cast of characters that you do actually care about, thanks also to a very talented cast. ’ Musical Theatre Review

★★★★ ‘The vocals are impressive from start to finish with beautiful harmonies, tone and intonation from everyone.’ Pocket Size Theatre

Fiver started it’s life in Workshop form at London entertainment hub Live At Zédel at the Crazy Coqs, in November 2017 produced and directed by Jordan Murphy in association with the Crazy Coqs. The short sell-out hour long performance featured Sabrina Alouche, Jodie Samantha Steele, Dan Buckley and Joe Kerry.

‘The onward march of the Crazy Coqs is pioneering new musical theatre writing continues with his utterly delicious score by new writers of the book, music and lyrics, Alex James Ellison and Tom Lees. Both youthful but distinguished creators of new work, this is an exciting new collaboration by them and offers much to recommend it.’ Britishtheatre.com
